N247 Hump Day: eShop Download – Resident Evil: Revelations 3DS

Welcome to N247 Hump Day. This is a brand new series that is catered to our favorite day of the week, Wednesday. Every Wednesday we will post a quick article highlighting our Nintendo fix for the day. This could be a download, a recommendation, or even a tip. Whatever the topic may be, we guarantee you will like what we offering! On today’s highlight we have Resident Evil: Revelations for the 3DS.

I have been a huge fan of the Resident Evil series since the original game released in the 90’s. It was my first experience with a survival horror and in my opinion, changed the genre for the better. Resident Evil: Revelations takes it back to the old school, but still has some of newer features that made Resident Evil 4 a huge success. The game is currently on sale for $9.99 in the eShop, and is a bargain if you are looking for something new to play with tons of replayability.

Resident Evil: Revelations is a Mature rated Survival-Horror game exclusively for play on Nintendo’s 3DS handheld game system. Revelations is the first complete Resident Evil game released for 3DS. It contains an all-new story set within the overall franchise chronology, familiar and new characters, a new kind of enemy and virus, a multiplayer option, and 3DS specific gameplay functionality. Additional features include: the new Raid Mode, in-game area scanning abilities, a Circle Pad Pro control scheme, an optional first-person shooter view, and outstanding 3DS visuals.

Here is a trailer for Resident Evil: Revelations that was shown at E3 in 2011.

This is a great game. The Wii U port isn’t bad either, as a mater of fact I ended up buying both. Nice pick!
